Dr. Jonathan Adkins  received a medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed a surgical residency at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Adkins completed a minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Adkins is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a candidate of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. David Carroll is a graduate of Texas Tech University's School of Medicine and completed his surgical internship and residency at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Carroll graduated with honors from medical school and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Erin Cummins is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. She completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Cummins is certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence surgeon.

Dr. Richard Johnson  received a medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed a surgical residency at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Johnson completed a surgical critical care fellowship at Northwestern University and a laparoscopic and bariatric fellowship at the University of Missouri. Dr. Johnson is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a candidate of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Annette Low received a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center and as well as Case Western Reserve University Hospital. Dr. Low is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Cindy Cruise has over thirty-five years experience in nursing. She received a master of science degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1994. She has worked in weight management for over eight years. She is a certified bariatric nurse.

Our Program

Step 1: Seminars

Attend Our Free Weight Loss Seminar

It is necessary to attend one of our free, monthly informational seminars before your first appointment with Transformations. To reserve your spot in advance call 1-877-907-7642. Space is limited.

Step 2: Insurance

Call Your Insurance Company
Check to make sure weight loss surgery is covered by your plan. Criteria for coverage will vary among insurance companies.

Step 3: History and Physical

History and Physical
After attending a seminar and deciding that this is something you would like to pursue, please call the office to schedule your initial history and physical

Step 4: Consultations

Consultations
To meet established guidelines for weight loss surgery, patients will be required to meet with a registered dietician and to have a psychological assessment. Other consults, such as cardiology, pulmonology, or nephrology, may be required as indicated by the patient's medical history.

Step 5: Pre-operative Visit

Pre-operative Appointments
You are moving forward with surgery and to prepare you for your new beginning, will need to attend a pre-operative appointment.

Support Groups

Support Groups

We offer support groups for post-surgery patients working toward their weight loss goals. Support groups are the third Tuesday of each month at 6pm.  They will be held at Transformations at River Oaks. For more information call 1-877-907-7642.
